The new thermal bath between Sorano and Pitigliano offers all the amenities of a wellness resort. Riding school Maneggio Belvedere about 15 minutes away (riding lessons and (multi)day trips.

Holiday destination

From the house you can go on bike rides or hikes. The medieval tuff towns of Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano are nearby, as are the sulfur springs of Saturnia. You can easily reach Rome and Florence by train from Orvieto. The large Lake Bolsena invites you to take a swim on the well-kept beach near Gradoli. The sea and the Ucellina National Park near Mt. Argentario can be reached in about 1 hour. Ferries from Orbetello to the islands of Giannutri and Giglio.

Getting there

You can travel in and out daily. Der nächste Flughafen ist Rom - Fiumicino (150 km).

Host informationI met the Lombardelli family and their house Pogggio dell'Olivo in 1986 during a dinner. We became friends. I gladly accepted their offer to rent the house, because I am "in love" with the old tuff stone house.

Wir haben uns sehr erholt und die Ruhe genossen. Die Umgebung und die kleinen Städte waren sehr schön. Die Wohnung war sauber und ordentlich. Es hat an nichts gefehlt.

Das Haus liegt ziemlich abgeschieden an einer alten Landstraße, deshalb mussten wir bei der Anreise ein wenig suchen, bis wir es fanden. Durch die Lage hat man aber den ganzen Tag himmlische Ruhe, die wir vor allem beim Frühstück in dem riesigen Garten genossen! Die Wohnung ist passend zu dem alten Bauernhaus, in der sie sich befindet, rustikal und einfach eingerichtet. Trotzdem hat man vom Toaster bis zur Kaffeemaschine eigentlich alles, was man braucht. Zum nächsten kleinen Ort Sovana fährt man nur 5 Minuten. Sovana ist sehr hübsch und hier gibt es bereits einige Lokale. Mehr Auswahl findet man im 8 km entfernten Pitigliano, ebenfalls ein sehr schöner Ort, in dem sich allerdings in der Hochsaison die Parkplatzsuche etwas schwierig gestaltet. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen, absolute Empfehlung!
