A warm welcome to Oeversee near Flensburg. You'll be staying in country house-style accommodation that measures 55 square metres in size and sits in a quiet, rural location between the lakes and just a few kilometres from the fjord town of Flensburg.
The cosy little apartment on our restored farm is fully equipped with everything you need. A bedroom, an open kitchen with all the appliances, a living room with a fireplace, a cosy little bathroom and a terrace. A travel cot can be provided for small children. The sofa bed in the living room can also be used as an extra bed.
There's a BBQ, a fire pit, bikes and garden furniture. Of course, there are also DVDs, books, games and a wide variety of information brochures about the region. The farm's plot of land is 1.7 hectares in size and features a great many spots where you can let yourself unwind. The cockerel still crows here :)
My husband Eike and I have been married for ages and are now retired. I'm a social education worker and have always worked within the Danish minority community. Eike is a true craftsman and it's thanks to him that we now have such a nice life. Danish culture plays a big role in our family. That's because our region was Danish until 1920. 'Hygge' is a core part of our Danish tradition and way of life. It essentially means a warm, cosy atmosphere in which you can enjoy all the good things in life with your loved ones. The warm light of a candle is hygge. Friends and family are also part of hygge.
We love our German-Danish culture – the culture you can get to know during your stay here.

The towns of Flensburg, Glücksburg and Husum invite you to stroll around, visit the museums and head to the beach. The excellent transport links to the A7 mean that our neighbouring country of Denmark can be reached in 12 minutes by car. Head there to enjoy some unfailingly delicious hot dogs, among many other things.
The "Obere Treenelandschaft" nature reserve is located very close by and is a great place for the whole family to enjoy such activities as hiking, cycling and nature watching.
There are only five houses in our settlement. That's why it's so peaceful here. Oeversee, the nearest town, is 2 km away. There's a bakery, a food shop and an inn with a restaurant here. There's a bathing lake 2 km away and an outdoor pool in Tarp (5 km). We have ducks, chickens and two geese. This lets us provide you with fresh eggs. Depending on the season, there are also tomatoes, cucumbers and other fruit and vegetables.
Arriving by car: Distance from the A7, approx. 6 km
Arriving by train: Distance from Tarp railway station, 6 km
