From the train station, a train leaves for the Dutch capital Amsterdam every half hour. This train journey - without changing trains - takes just under half an hour.
Within 15 minutes, you can be in Haarlem, where you can visit the beautiful historic old town. Alkmaar can be reached by car in 35 minutes.
