The broadest and most diverse nature reserve along the Dutch coast is located here in North Holland, including the Egmond Dunes. Nature lovers can take a walk or a bike ride through the beautiful surroundings. Egmond aan den Hoef is a quiet village near the seaside resort of Egmond aan Zee and the picturesque village of Bergen in North Holland, which is also definitely worth a visit during your stay. Especially if you like art and culture, you cannot ignore Bergen. Bergen is a true artists' village with many museums and art galleries, not to mention the beautiful restaurants and terraces. Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Hoorn are also highly recommended, and Amsterdam is also nearby.

You will arrive from all directions via the Alkmaar ring road. Take the Egmond exit from the N9, which is the N512. You are now on Hoeverweg and continue straight ahead. After about 9 km, go straight through the roundabout and then you will reach the traffic lights, where you can turn right towards Egmond aan den Hoef. Turn right at the traffic light after the Texaco gas station, which you see on the right. You will see Albert Heijn on your right. This is Egmonder Straatweg.
After Albert Heijn, the road bends to the left. This is Herenweg. Continue on and take the sixth street on the right. This is Zandweg. Zandweg is a narrow street leading towards the park "De Zandschuyt". Follow Zandweg to a small crossroads and turn left, following the road (straight ahead is a dead end). After about 100 meters, you will see the entrance to the park "De Zandschuyt" on the right side and turn right into the park. On the right side, you will see a playground. Continue on and then turn right. The holiday home Duinhuys De Zilte Zee is located at the end of this street on the right side, No. 36.
You can park in the driveway next to the house, but you can also park in the general parking lot when entering.

Article 4. Cancellation by the Tenant
Every cancellation must be reported in writing by email to Duinhuys De Zilte Zee. In the event of a cancellation, the tenant bears the cancellation costs, namely;
- 25% of the rent for cancellations by the tenant up to 8 weeks before the arrival date.
- 75% of the cancellation costs within 8 weeks of the arrival date.
If the tenant does not use the house or leaves it before the end of the rental period, there will be no (proportional) refund of the rent. If the tenant wishes to reschedule the reservation, this is possible in consultation with Duinhuys De Zilte Zee. The tenant will be served by email.
Article 5. Cancellation by Duinhuys De Zilte Zee
If due to unforeseen circumstances Duinhuys De Zilte Zee has to cancel a rental agreement, the tenant will be informed immediately and the deposit and/or remaining payment will be refunded.
Article 6. Cancellation in case of Travel Warning or Travel Ban
If seven days before your reservation it appears that you cannot travel in combination with a travel warning or travel ban, Duinhuys De Zilte Zee will contact you to reschedule the reservation. If this is not possible, the deposit and/or remaining payment will be refunded.

When this house was put up for sale in July 2020, the decision was quickly made. I fell in love with it immediately! The holiday home is located in a beautiful spot outside a small park, where you can stay detached and yet have the coziness of other small houses nearby. The holiday home is on the edge of the Egmond dunes, not far from the sea. The area here is beautiful and suitable for many different purposes. The park usually has houses where people live permanently, and you can really tell that the atmosphere is very nice and there is absolutely no feeling of a holiday park.
