Activities nearby: Swimming, fishing, water sports - the Dobbertiner See offers numerous opportunities for relaxing and active holidays. We recommend a trip with the passenger ship "MS Condor" on the Dobbertiner See, because if you are lucky, you can watch sea eagles, kingfishers and otters as well as cormorants while fishing. Also pay a visit to the Dobbertin monastery, because the listed area is a popular meeting place for day trippers and art lovers. It was founded long ago in 1220 by the Benedictines. From May to September, there are guided tours of the monastery complex on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 3 p.m. Adjacent to the monastery is a park with some dendrological treasures, through which an educational trail leads. In the KlosterCafé with a view of the lake you can treat yourself to coffee, cake, ice cream or a small snack. In the workshops, visitors can get an idea of the work of the residents.
