The apartment is located on a 6,000-square-metre plot of land with forests, meadows, a pond and breathtaking panoramic views of the Dolomites. It features 160 square metres of living space, modern furnishings and is spread out over two floors.
The apartment is located on the 1st and 2nd floor and has three bedrooms, a large living room with a kitchen and two bathrooms. Satellite TV and fast internet are provided. The Wi-Fi is connected to the fibre optic network and is therefore very fast. There's a small pond in front of the house.
A parking space for our guests is located right in front of the property. In addition to towels and bed linen, you'll be provided with a hiking guide and a hiking map of the area on arrival.
The house sits at an altitude of 1,200m in Jenesien, about 15 minutes away from Bolzano. It enjoys a very quiet location in a forest clearing right by European long-distance hiking trail E5 which connects Lake Constance with Venice and Verona. There's a bus stop nearby (2 minutes away); the shops and restaurants in Jenesien are around 8 minutes' walk away. Bolzano's main attraction is Ötzi the Iceman.

The hiking area extends from Jenesien to Hafling and Merano. Head just a few steps from the house to find the 'Salten' high plateau with its extensive larch and alpine meadows. Hike across the Salten to enjoy panoramic views of the neighbouring high mountain ridges. The crocus in spring and the rich mountain flora in summer are a real feast for the eyes. In November, the larches on the high plateau turn red and the hiking trails are covered with a carpet of red larch needles. And in winter, the area is an inviting place for hikes in the snow. The following three ski areas are all located around 45 minutes away: Merano 2000, Rittner Horn and Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm.
We're happy to give you some tips for hiking routes and which restaurants are worth a visit in Bolzano, Jenesien and the surrounding area. The Langfenn, Lanzenschuster and Tschaufenhaus inns can be reached on hikes of 1.5 to 3 hours in length and offer a good, varied selection of South Tyrolean cooking.
Incidentally, everything in South Tyrol is bilingual (in Italian and German). The village is called "San Genesio" in Italian.
Once you reach Bolzano, follow the signs to Jenesien. You may need to TURN OFF your NAVIGATION DEVICE as many systems use the shorter, old mountain road that's very steep and occasionally runs into dead ends. Once you reach the top, don't turn right into the village, but follow the road towards Mölten - this means you'll be driving round the village, keeping Jenesien on your right. When you exit the village you'll find a bronze-coloured horse statue on your left-hand side. Please take a sharp left here into Simmlweg. Our house is the second house (Simml 8) immediately after the horse shed. Please just park your car right by the no parking sign on the other side of the street - that's the private parking space for our guests.
