You can take your own rowing boat, go hiking and explore lots of nature and fauna. Freilichmuseum and old places are about 20 minutes away by car.

Holiday destination

The Värmland region in central Sweden is a natural landscape characterized by over 10,000 lakes and extensive spruce and pine forests and is therefore an ideal travel destination for an active holiday in Sweden. You can collect berries, mushrooms and everything nature gives us. With a bit of luck, you can meet one of the native wild animals in the endless forests, which are plentiful here. The nearest town of Stöllet can be reached in 20 minutes by car. You can buy your essentials there.

Getting there

We recommend a flight via Stockholm (ARN) with onward travel by train and bus (bus stop "Stöllet Riksväg 62", approx. 7 hours) or a connecting flight towards Sälen (SCR), Torsby (TYF), Mora (MXX), Hagfors (HFS) followed by a journey by bus or car to Stöllet (approx. 1-2 hours). From Stollet you can walk about 14 km to Lake Stölletsjön and the nature camp. Arriving by car is possible at any time. The gravel road branches off at the E16 and goes 5 km through the forest. You can park directly in front of the hut. Access in winter (Nov.-March) cannot be guaranteed. It is not cleared regularly if there is snow. Snow chains are recommended.
