Am Anfang stand ganz klar die Idee eines Hotels von und für Individualisten, mit Komfort zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Sozusagen: Urlaub abseits vom Mainstream. Gegen die Konvention, aber dafür glaubwürdig und authentisch. An Zielgruppen im klassischen Sinn wurde nur begrenzt gedacht: vorrangig sollte dem Gast soviel Freiraum wie möglich bei seiner Urlaubsgestaltung gelassen und höchstens beratend zur Seite gestanden werden.
