Situated on the edge of the forest in Sankt Englmar, the Predigtstuhl is close by as well as the Waldwipfelweg, Haus auf dem Kopf, summer toboggan run, climbing forest, pony riding and many hiking trails. A very cosy café and restaurant are also within walking distance. The distance to the Czech border is approx. 50km.
Sankt Englmar is a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen. The parish village of the same name is the seat of the municipal administration. The state-recognised climatic health resort is also a well-known winter sports area.
