Like a pearl in an oyster, the Kleinwalsertal [valley] lies surrounded by mountains. A part of Austria, reachable via Germany and inhabited by Swiss natives from the Valais region, it has self-consciously retained its own character through the centuries.
Hirschegg, in the middle of the valley, is the starting point for many activities.
An indoor swimming pool, restaurants and various cultural and sporting events will make your holiday a real adventure.
Sport and leisure time activities. The Kleinwalsertal [valley] is the largest Austrian-German skiing region. Together with the Allgäu Mountains you will find more than 120 km of slopes. More than 50 km of well-travelled winter footpaths. Snowboarding, snowshoe hiking and cross-country are all on offer. And you can have great fun in the mountains in summer, too. Mountain biking, Nordic walking, daily, guided mountain tours with the Kleinwalsertal [valley] mountain school and much more.
