Unwind in the lovely surroundings of Bergen. In a few minutes you walk into the forest, cross a few roads and walk or jog right to the sea (5 km, one hour hike). The beach and Alkmaar are within cycling distance. Do a wonderful yoga session on the beach, let your kids take wave surf lesson or visit the art market. Or take an afternoon to explore the beautiful shops of Bergen - you walk into the centre in 15 minutes or by bike in 5. In the evening you can choose one of the many cozy restaurants in Bergen or a beautiful beach club in Bergen aan Zee. Or visit Amsterdam (50 minutes by car, 45 minutes by train from Alkmaar CS) or the isle of Texel.
