Radniger waterfalls and forest right on your doorstep. The well-known Nassfeld ski resort is approximately 10 km away and invites you in winter with more than 100 km of groomed slopes for winter sports (skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing). The nearby lakes (Pressegger See and Weißensee) offer boundless ice skating fun on approximately 55 ha or 6.5 km² of natural ice surface (ice skate rental). In summer, the Pressegger See, about 3 km away, invites you to bathe, dive, swim, surf and stand-up paddle as well as fish. Further highlights in the nearby area: 1. Carinthian Adventure Park 950 km long network of mountain bike and cycling paths (well-developed flat cycling network along the GAIL river) 25 themed trails, including two long-distance hiking trails ("Karnischer Höhenweg" and "Gailtaler Höhenweg") and two pilgrimage trails ("Marienpilerweg" and "Weg des Buches") Garnitzenklamm Hikes to various alpine pastures
Getting there
Traveling from Germany by car, take the A10 Tauern motorway to the Hermagor - Windische Höhe exit. The Hermagor train station is 3 km away. (no car rental available) The motorail train stops in Villach (35 km away). The nearest airport, Klagenfurt (KLU), is 70 km away. In winter, Austria requires winter tires from November 1st to April 15th, as well as the obligation to carry snow chains. As the approach to the house is quite steep, snow chains may also be required here.

Wir hatten das Glück fast 14 age in der tollen Ferienwohnung zu sein. Es ist ein Neubau mit total moderner Einrichtung. 2 Schlafzimmer mit jeweils einem Bad. Elektrische Jalusien, Radios in Küche und Bäder, freies WLAN. Es fehlt an nichts. Wir hatten die Wohnung im Obergeschoss mit Balkon. Das heißt man geht ebenerdig herein und hat dann einen Balkon auf der Süd-Ostseite. Es gibt viel zu entdecken in der Gegend. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen, zu Fuß kann man morgens im kleinen Laden am Campingplatz Brötchen holen. Das Frühstück auf dem Balkon oder im Eßzimmer gibt einen tollen Blick über das ganze Tal. Absolut zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Toller Urlaub, das Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles ist sehr modern und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten die Wohnung mit Balkon, den wir auch gut nutzten. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Obendrein gab es noch WLAN. Es ist sehr ruhig da es etwas abseits liegt, was aber kein Problem für uns war. Der See, (etwas steinig am Ufer) aber sehr schöne gepflegte Anlage! Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Tankstelle, Apotheke... liegen nur wenige Autominuten entfernt. Wandermöglichkeiten gibt es genug in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Zu empfehlen ist die Garnitzenklamm, Abenteuer pur! Man sollte aber schon bereit sein ein paar Meter mit dem Auto zu fahren. Alles in Allem top Voraussetzungen für einen erholsamen Urlaub in Österreich. Wenn es mal wieder passt sind wir gerne wieder da.
