Holiday destination
The alpine village is situated between 1720m and 1850m above sea level, above the tree line, in the heart of the Nock Mountains. Our Marmot Lodge is located on a south-facing slope at the very top of the alpine village settlement at about 1800m above sea level.
At the foot of the Falkertspitz (2308m above sea level) lies the clear mountain lake Falkertsee (namesake of the region) at about 1855m above sea level. Nearby:

Getting there
The Almdorf Falkertsee is located in the heart of Carinthia, on the edge of the Nockberge National Park. Our holiday home is at the upper end of the Almdorf settlement, to the right of the "main road". Two parking spaces are available.

Nach dem 4. oder 5. Aufenthalt in der Mumeltierhütte können wir uns sicher schon als "Stammgäste" bezeichnen, weil es eben immer wieder sehr angenehm ist, in diesem schönen und liebevoll ausgestatteten Holzhaus schöne Ferientage zu verbringen. Es ist alles da, Kücke perfekt ausgestattet, Holzofen im Wohnbereich und in diesem Jahr ein neuer Holzfußboden im gesamten Haus. Brötchendiemst wird nicht mehr angeboten, weil der "Auslieferer" im wohl verdienten Ruhestand ist. Wir nahmen Brötchen zum Aufbacken mit, eine gelungene Alternative. Die neue Bewirtung im "Kärtnerhaus" ist sehr zu empfehlen... Fazit: Wir (zwei Ehepaare) kommen sicher wieder. Danke, Herr Wernet!
