Cross-country skiing in the Hytten area around the holiday home, which offers up to 40 km of well-groomed skiing trails. Ski runs can be found at the Gautefall Skisenter (approx. 35 km), the largest ski area in the Telemark region/county. In the winter, the access roads to the Hytte are cleared of snow! You have the option to book several Hytten.
The view of the Havrefjell with its waterfall and the location by the lake will help you to forget about everyday life for a while. The 3 adjoining lakes have bathing platforms and are ideal for swimming, canoeing and fishing. The central location allows you to enjoy plenty of activities. A 45-minute drive takes you to the ocean and the well-known towns Risør und Kragerø. But you also have the option to visit the Telemark's largest ski area, the Gautefall Skisenter (a 35-minute drive). The region offers infinite hiking opportunities.
The most relaxing and convenient way to travel to Norway is by plane and getting a rental car. Destinations airports are Oslo Gardermoen, Oslo Torp (closest) and Oslo Rygge.
Alternatively, you can travel in your own car and take the route via northern Denmark, followed by various ferry services to Norway. Please call us if you have questions or would like to get relevant tips and recommendations.
The most convenient, relaxing trip by car is to drive to Kiel (departure: 2:00 pm) and take the night ferry to Oslo (arrival: 10:00 am); the drive to your holiday home takes about 3 hours.
