Write your holiday letters on the old rolltop secretary desk and look out into the flowering perennial beds in front of the window. Here, every piece of furniture has its own history. Most come from the same time as the construction of the house. There's also the wonderful, tiled stove in the living room. You can warm up at it if you come back frozen in the cold season.
In the bedroom you can enjoy the view of the orchards with grazing cows. The wallpaper reflects the classic fabric (strawberry thief) of English designer William Morris, whose style fits wonderfully with this house.
In the bright, large bathroom is a shiny tile floor, which you would think was the original. Fortunately, Villeroy & Boch recently re-issued such a series. That arrived just in time for the completion of the bath renovation.

To be part of a much larger whole that existed long before us and will continue to exist long after us - we were able to get that feeling once again during our week long vacation here on Lake Constance.
Apart from five steps at the entrance, the apartment is barrier-free. It offers space for two, up to a maximum of 3 persons, with use of the sofa bed.
