The area of Maria de la Salut, is situated in the centre of the island, so it is very easy to get anywhere in a reasonable time. The area is mainly rural and mostly inhabited by people of the island, so you will not find much tourism and you can discover the real Mallorca. Yet you will find everything you need in Maria de la Salut: supermarket, pharmacy, bank, sports area, bars and some restaurants. In just 15 minutes drive you reach Ses Casetes dels Capellans and Can Picafort. You can have a nice day on the sandy beach or enjoy a cocktail watching the sunset. In this area, there are some good restaurants to eat paella, with a very beautiful and impressive sea view. The promenade of Ca'n Picafort is a lively area that contrasts with the Playa de Muro, which is more quiet. Nearby are also the areas of the Port of Alcudia and Pollenca.
