Fort Kijduin (Den Helder) - an old fort built in 1811 by Napoleon, now expanded into a museum including a large North Sea aquarium.
In Den Helder, you can visit an old submarine at the Naval Museum, among other things.
For children, De Helderse Vallei is recommended with a free children's petting farm, observation tower, and climbing park.
A short ferry ride to Texel – whether as a pedestrian or a motorist – is well worth it to see a picturesque island or to visit the Ecomare seal rehabilitation center and experience a feeding, as well as a visit to the brewery.
Classic car enthusiasts will also find something to their liking. In Schagen, you can find German, English, French, and of course Dutch "oldies".
And then it's almost a "must" to experience the famous cheese market in Alkmaar on a Friday.
In addition, you will find numerous old drawbridges and patrician houses in the old town, both very impressive subjects for successful photos.
The largest indoor flea and antiques market in Europe - colloquially known as the Black Market - can be found in Beverwijk. There is also plenty of food available.
A beautiful trip through the canals and waterways in Amsterdam is a must.
Art enthusiasts will fully enjoy themselves at the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijksmuseum.
Horseback riding on the beach is offered here.
Once a year, the Mega Beach Ride takes place in Julianadorp.
Holiday destination
The holiday home is located in the exclusive Beach Resort Ooghduyne, which offers various activities such as a golf course, playgrounds, an indoor playground, a bowling alley, and mini golf. (see below).
It's about a 3-minute walk to the indoor pool/adventure pool with a whirlpool, children's pool, sauna, and a 55-meter-long slide.
On the special family golf course, you can play golf without a handicap certificate.
Ooghduyne is surrounded by small canals and channels, which you can explore with rented canoes.
Beach and sea: A short bike and footpath through blooming tulip fields leads over the dunes to the sea.
Many kilometers of wide sandy beach await you, inviting you to a dream vacation.
This vast, clean beach has not yet been overrun by mass tourism and has even been awarded the EU's environmental 'Blue Flag' award.
Thus, away from the dune crossings, naturism enthusiasts also find their own area.
Various beach cafes, one of which is open all year round, enrich the long vacation days.
Whether on the terrace with a cool glass of wine or in winter behind glass with a hot punch after brisk marches in wind and weather: You simply feel good there!
Getting there
From Alkmaar, head north on the N9 until the Julianadorp-Zuid exit. Drive on Callantsogervaart to the next intersection and there, on the other side of the water, follow Callantsogervaart towards the dunes. After about 1,500 meters, turn right into the Landal Park Ooghduyne.

Wir haben erneut eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche in Julianadorp verbracht.
Wir sind sehr gerne in dem Ferienhaus Sonnenstrand II, weil es sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich ist.
Es ist alles da was man braucht und man hat Platz satt.
Die Umgebung um Julianadorp ist sehr schön, wir genießen die Radfahrmöglichkeiten und hatten diesmal auch wieder viel Glück mit tollem Wetter.
Sehr empfehlenswert :-)

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr hübsch eingerichtet und sauber. An Küchenutensilien war alles vorhanden.
