Description

Surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature, this 2-bedroom chalet in Dabo features a terrace and barbecue for spending time amidst nature. It is pet-friendly and is perfect for a 4 member family with children.

You can find many castle ruins in the surroundings such as at Haegen at 19 km, Wangenbourg-Engenthal at 12 km and Nideck at 21 km. A short drive will take you to the lake. Sarrebourg at 28 km has a swimming pool and golf course. Kids will enjoy a trip to the animal park of Rhodes at 49 km. Strasbourg at 46 km has a charming ambience with half timbered houses. Supermarket is at 5 km and restaurants at 1 km.

Turn on the heating and spend your evenings in the living-bedroom with TV and double sofa bed. The balcony offers wonderful views. You can relax on the terrace in the evening with a barbecue. Cot, high chair and space for 2 pets are arranged.

Bei der Ankunft war der Eigentümer bereits im Haus anwesend. Sie empfing uns freundlich und gastfreundlich. Hat uns das Haus gezeigt. An diesem Abend fand hinter dem Haus eine Hochzeit statt. Zum Glück hat uns das nicht sonderlich gestört, denn das Wetter wurde schlecht. Später wurden wir jedoch von anderen Nachbarn angesprochen, die dachten, wir hätten uns bei der Polizei über die Hochzeit beschwert, was absolut nicht der Fall war. Haben sie uns geglaubt? Das wird es. Ohnehin. Es scheint also, als ob das Haus völlig frei wäre, aber das ist nicht der Fall. Die Nachbarn auf der Rückseite (ältere Leute, die mit Laubbläsern und anderen Aktivitäten viel Lärm machen) waren laut und deutlich zu hören. Zum Glück nicht den ganzen Tag. Das Haus liegt auf einer Höhe von ca. 600 Metern. Der erste größere Supermarkt (Le Clerc) liegt 20 Minuten tiefer. War machbar. Wir haben zweimal im nahegelegenen Restaurant (Zollstock) gegessen. Sehr gastfreundlich und leckeres (und viel) Essen. Erlebte einen Tag in Straßburg, Colmar und Riquewihr sowie im Plan Encline. Am letzten Tag besuchten wir das kleine Dorf Saverne mit dem Palast von Rohan. Natürlich haben wir auch die Kirche auf dem Dabo-Felsen besucht. Das sollten Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen, wenn Sie sich schon die ganze Woche darauf gefreut haben.
Der Hund war die ganze Woche frei und ging seinem Geschäft nach. Wir haben sie regelmäßig verloren, als sie auf der angrenzenden Wiese spielte. Idealerweise ohne Verkehr in der Nähe. Geschlafen wurde oben über eine steile Treppe. Das war gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber machbar. Das Bett war nicht ideal, sehr niedrig, da der Tag schräg war und man auf einer Seite ausstieg.
Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Woche in den Vogesen und im Elsass. Das Haus war ein schöner Aufenthalt für eine Woche. Wir dachten, es hätte umgekehrt sein sollen. Mit der Einfahrt auf der Seite, wo das Auto geparkt ist. Dann hätte man viel mehr Platz zum Draußensitzen und wäre quasi frei.
Der Sonnenuntergang ist übrigens fantastisch!
