The centrally located Limmen and its surroundings are the perfect starting point on the coast for the holiday you desire. Family vacation in a child-friendly environment, sports and activity, culture, or a wonderful beach holiday.
Within a 30-minute drive, you can reach the beautiful and typically Dutch cities such as Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Bergen, Schoorl, Hoorn, Zandvoort, or Haarlem. Or the fantastic polder areas of 'de Beemster' or 'de Rijp' and 'Schermer'.
In Uitgeest, there is the large water sports area 'Het Alkmaardermeer' - swimming, canoeing, surfing, boat rental - everything is available, including a few small beaches.
Within 4 km is the 'Noordholland Duinreservaat' - a fantastic nature reserve for cycling and walking.
You can cast your fishing line in the nearby area (1000 m)
About 750 m from the apartment there is a bus stop and in Castricum and Uitgeest a train station.
Holiday destination
The centrally located Limmen and its surroundings are the ideal starting point on the coast for the vacation you desire. Whether you're into sports and activity, culture, or a wonderful beach holiday, this is the place to be. Beautiful cycling and walking paths lead through picturesque villages, dunes, and polder landscapes all the way to the beach.
The apartment is situated on the western edge of Limmen in the municipality of Castricum (5 km). Castricum is a charming seaside resort with a beautiful, kilometers-long sandy beach and beach pavilions, a shopping center (2.5 km), and a lovely village center with restaurants, shops, and terraces.
You can reach the beach via beautiful bicycle paths or by car. Parking is available at the beach (about 6 Euro per day). In Limmen, you'll find 'Hortus Bulborum', the only bulb flower garden in the world, where 2500 different varieties of tulips, daffodils, etc., bloom. Die Strände sind gut zu erreichen .
Im Ort findet man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten die man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Sehr praktisch ist der Bäcker gleich um die Ecke.
Fahrräder und Hundeanhänger werden gestellt.
Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit.
Wir würden dieses Häuschen jederzeit wieder nehmen und können es auch nur jedem empfehlen.
