The historic holiday house, dating from the middle of the 18th century, was fully refurbished at the end of 2016. The furnishings are stylish and of a very high quality. It's a place to relax and feel good! There are places to shop (e.g. Rewe supermarket, bakery, dairy) and several restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The centre of Willingen is around 4.5km away and offers a variety of further options (e.g. adventure pool, cinema, summer toboggan run, covered go kart track, bowling alley).
You can go on beautiful forest hikes and cycling/mountain biking trips right from the holiday house. There are well-signposted routes in the Sauerland bike arena for mountain bikers. The Graf Stolberghütte mountain inn on the peak of Usseln is a great place for a breather and a bite to eat. There's a large, heated open-air swimming pool in the centre. As well as the ski area in Willingen (around 4.5km away) with more than 100 snow cannons, you'll find a great kids' ski slope near us in the town around 1.5km away called the "Emmet" that has 3 snow cannons, a little snack hut, a ski rental and a kids' ski school. The Skikarussell Winterberg ski area can be reached in less than half an hour.

We're located in the Upland region of Sauerland. You can hop straight onto the "Uplandsteig" and "Rothaarsteig" certified hiking routes. BikeWelt Willingen bike park, Willingen Wintersport Arena, an adventure pool, an open-air pool and additional leisure facilities are all located right on the doorstep.
A magnificent journey here by car or by train (the Willingen-Usseln railway station lies practically behind our house).
