This holiday home has been inspected and evaluated according to the star criteria of the German Tourism Association. Depending on equipment and service, the accommodation is awarded one to five stars.
Gretes Hof is a former farm with a residential building, a barn and a large garden with unobstructed views across the meadows towards Worpswede.
Grete's Hof (farm) is situated in a quiet location on the edge of Osterholz-Scharmbeck's district Osterholz. The holiday home is located near beautiful walks and cycling routes, e.g. the Butenpad and two special bicycle tours in Bremen (Bremer Ring).
The holiday home has a large living hall, 2 double beds, the "Grüne Stube" with a day bed (pull-out double bed), a room with a single bed, a children's room with 2 beds, a completely new and cosy country house-style kitchen, a bathroom with shower and one with tub and a separate toilet (all the bathrooms are new, with underfloor heating).
Up until March 2017, the home was extensively renovated with great attention to detail.
We furnished the house with farmhouse-style furniture and a "Grete's Gute Stube"-flair, which created a cosy feel-good atmosphere. We chose high-quality beds and mattresses to make sure you'll have a restful sleep.

On the Hamme, you can take a ride on a peat barge, rides with the "Moorexpress" (on weekends between May and October), canoeing and tours on an excursion boat, visiting the all-weather pool in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (closed until mid-July due to renovations), several golf courses are within easy reach, including the well-known Club zur Vahr in Garlstedt, and lots more! Its location makes the property an ideal starting point for numerous excursions (on foot or by bicycle) to the famous Teufelsmoor. One way to reach the artists' village Worpswede is cycling through the Hamme lowlands (distance approx. 12 km). The net of cycling paths "Grüner Ring - Marsch, Moor and Geest" and the bike path "Weites Land" run close to the holiday home, so does the Butenpad in Osterholz-Scharmbeck. The North Sea coast and Hanseatic city of Bremen can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.
By car:
◾Motorway A27 towards Bremerhaven
◾Exit Bremen-Industriehäfen (industrial ports), right lane, towards Worpswede/Osterholz-Scharmbeck
◾follow the road for about 8 km
◾Turn left towards Osterholz-Scharmbeck (K9)
◾Follow the road
(after about 2 km you'll see and cross the Hamme, a headstream)
◾Once in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, turn right onto Bördestraße
◾Follow the road, turn right at the car dealership and onto Muskaustraße
◾To your right you'll see the barn, the the holiday home with the street number 6.

By train:
◾At Bremen's central station, trains to Osterholz-Scharmbeck depart every hour. The ride takes 15 minutes.
◾The holiday home is about 1.8 km (footpath) from the train station.

Your reservation is binding. Once we confirm your reservation and you pay 30% of the booking charges as a deposit, the booking is binding for all fellow travellers. In case of a cancellation up to the 29th day prior to arrival you are charged 50% of the total amount. From the 28th day prior to arrival you are charged 100% of the booking costs.
We highly recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance!
If you're able to find a replacement tenant or if we can rent the house at short notice, we'll refund the rental price minus a handling fee of 50,- €.
- Special conditions can be arranged on request, e.g. for extended stays, booking of one
night only or using fewer rooms. Please don't hesitate to ask us.
- Children up to the age of 2 stay for free.
