Built in 1984, the Karl Anton Hütte is a cosy alpine house located on the southernmost tip of Corinthia. The home features high-quality, modern furnishings in the traditional country house-style. The tasteful interplay of the rustic ambience of an alpine hut and the modern elements in the bathrooms and kitchen make the Karl Anton Hütte a very special experience. 108m² of living space and an approx. 5000m² large property await you when you decide to take a break from everyday life. The two large terrace in the basement and on the upper floor are ideal for sunbathing or a convivial barbecue dinner with unobstructed views of the entire Bodental and the surrounding mountains. The balcony, which runs the length of the house on two sides, is furnished with a table and benches and offers a wonderful vista as well.
The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, Nespresso® coffee maker, kettle, etc.). In the spacious living room you'll find a large settee and a tiled stove in the typical Austrian style (plus sat. TV, DVD player). Returning from a day-long excursion or an active day of skiing or hiking, you can relax in the private sauna with space for up to 6 people.
Our house has 4 bedrooms (3 with double beds and 1 with a bunk bed). Each of the two bedrooms in the basement has a small seating corner. Both bathrooms are equipped with infrared underfloor heating, a shower, toilet and sink; a hair dryer and towels are provided – and the basement bathroom features a tub.

The house and health concerns
Initially, we have restored the house for us, with particular attention to promote our health. For that reason, we used lots of arolla pine wood. The arolla pine has beneficial health effects and enhances the overall sense of well-being. Most of the rooms are completely clad with pine wood. The aromatic wood has a high pinosylvin content and studies showed that the active substance lowers the heart rate, speeds up regeneration and makes us less sensitive to weather changes. In addition, the newly renovated bathrooms and all the other rooms are equipped with infrared heating. Infrared radiation can improve circulation, stimulate the immune system and alleviate pain, among other benefits. Sauna sessions strengthen the immune system as well. And we must not forget that relaxation and well-being is crucial for the human body and mind. Staying here means you'll definitely get your money's worth!

• If you forgot to bring something essential, you might find it in the small village store.
• Bodental has a number of very good restaurants:

• Ferlach (about 15 minutes by car): 2 banks, a hair salon, bakery, butcher's shop, a Spar store, Billa, Hofer, etc..
• Klagenfurt (about 30 minutes by car): All kinds of shopping facilities, from chic designer shops to various hardware stores, here you'll find everything you could wish for. And the Klagenfurt Airport can be reached within 40 minutes.
