The island of Vir is connected to the mainland by a bridge, 25 km to Zadar, 25 km to Zadar Airport, three national parks can be reached in less than an hour by car.
The Kornati archipelago lies directly in front of the island. Vir is flat, ideal for cycling, jogging, walking, to enjoy nature and the sea air. Diving, sailing, jet skiing or "quad biking" are also available for rent.

Wir waren die ersten zwei Wochen im September auf der Insel Vir. In der Wohnung haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie hat alles was man für einen guten Urlaub braucht. Wir konnten uns von dem sehr hilfsbereiten Vermieter die Fahrräder leihen und die Insel erkunden. In der Nähe des Leuchtturms haben wir eine schöne Stelle zum Baden gefunden mit klarem sauberen Wasser. Auch wurden wir mit kroatischem Essen verwöhnt. Alles sehr empfehlenswert.
