Linderhof Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle or the many beautiful Bavarian lakes are in the immediate vicinity.
There are enough sports activities to choose from. The mountains are Saulgrub at your feet or cycling through the beautiful Pfaffenwinkel and Ammertal, is a pleasure.
In winter all ski types are available. The trails in the Ammer Valley are continuously groomed and interconnected.
Alpine skiing or touring skis is a dream. Many ski lifts are nearby.
Snowshoe hikes are offered everywhere.
Rental options for sports and ski equipment in summer or winter are available everywhere.
Holiday destination
The idyllic resort of Saulgrub lies at 900 meters and is part of the Ammergau Alps. From here you can either head for Murnau, the Blue Land or Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Zugspitzland.
Visit some of many famous Bavarian sights such as the royal castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria or exits to the castle ruin Werdenfels, open-air museum Glentleiten near Murnau, a drive to Innsbruck or Munich, countryside hikes, challenging mountain tours, leisurely bike rides or sporty mountain bike tours. Information will be provided upon your arrival.

Wir haben dir Zeit in der Ferienunterkunft sehr genossen. Es war sauber, toll ausgestattet und sehr nett betreut durch die Vermietung. Es gab super leckeren Stollen, Marmelade und leckere Eier bei Ankunft. Jederzeit würden wir gern wiederkommen.
