Holiday destination
Lido di Camaiore - a modern beach town and an important tourist hub with wide sandy beaches. The coastal promenade, complete with cycle path, is easy to reach. Dotted with gardens and flowers and lined with restaurants, shops and plenty of private beaches where you can pay to rent umbrellas and loungers. Camaiore, in the middle of a large and green valley, offers historical monuments, including the 13th century church, the 4th century bell tower and the 7th century Benedectian Abbey. Also worth visiting are the Museum of Holy Art, the museum of Camaiore, in Palazzo Tori, and the museum of Viareggio.
