An 8-10m-wide lateral channel by the house; 2-3 parking spaces; recreational/holiday programmes in the surrounding towns.
Several meadows and forests in the immediate vicinity also offer an idyllic holiday atmosphere
Getting there
Travelling by car:
from Hamburg on the A23 towards Heide; take the "Itzehoe Zentrum" exit (at the end of the exit there's a Shell station and a Penny Markt); at the exit A-road B5 towards Brunsbüttel is signposted; turn right towards "St. Margarethen u. Burg" before Brunsbüttel; go left at the crossroads and left again after the railroad crossing; you will arrive at the resort after about 2 km.
Arrival by train:
Coming from Hamburg, via Itzehoe train station going towards Wilster or Brunsbüttel. From Wilster there is an hourly bus to Kudensee. The house is still approx. 200m from the bus stop.

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in diesem ruhigen Dorf. Das gepflegte Ferienhaus mit den schönen Außenanlagen liegt direkt an einem kleinen Kanal, auf dem sich Enten und Schwäne tummeln.
So eine tolle Idylle kennen wir von zu Hause nicht.
Der NOK ist ca. eine Minute entfernt. Man kann bequem und kostenlos mit einer Fähre übersetzen.
Es dauert knapp 10 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Brunsbüttel, wo Geschäfte und Gastronomie zu finden sind. Sehr hilfreich war in diesem Zusammenhang auch eine E-Mail vom Vermieter, in der er Infos zum Haus und zur Umgebung gab.

Das Haus liegt an einem kleinen Kanal, hat nach hinten einen schönen Ausblick. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Zum Nordostseekanal sind es zu Fuß 5 Minuten und am Kanal kann man stundenlang laufen oder Fahrradfahren. Die Fähre über den Kanal fährt permanent und ist kostenlos.
Die Umgebung im Dorf ist absolut ruhig und man kann sich dort gut erholen.
Negativ: Sehr viele Spinnweben auf der Terrasse und am Balkon sowie im Eingangsbereich.
Anscheinend wird der Terrassen- und Eingangsbereich mit einer Kamera überwacht. Die Kamera sitzt am Geräteschuppen. Ob sie aktiv ist oder nicht, läßt sich nicht feststellen. Im Normalfall sollte der Vermieter den Mieter über so eine Aktion informieren. Eine kurze Mitteilung des Vermieters über eine Kamera wäre angebracht.
