The Baltic Sea resort of Prerow is located between the Baltic Sea and the Bodden, in the middle of the "Vorpommern Boddenlandschaft" National Park.
The long, white sandy beach offers plenty of space for play, fun and relaxation. The Darß forest with its well-laid out cycling and hiking trails is a very special experience. A ride on the Darßbahn to the lighthouse is an experience not only for children.
In spring and autumn, huge flocks of cranes and thousands of wild geese can be seen resting on their way to Sweden.
Mit dem Auto kommt man über die A19 aus Richtung Berlin und über die A20 aus Richtung Lübeck/Hamburg Richtung Darß. Sie fahren am Autobahnabzweig Rostock-Ost ab und weiter über die B 105 bis zum Abzweig Altheide. Von dort aus geht es links Richtung Fischland-Darß.

Mit der Bahn kommt man über Stralsund, Barth, Rostock oder Ribnitz-Damgarten dem Darß am nächsten. Von Barth und Ribnitz Damgarten-West aus fährt jeweils der Bus 210 über die Ostseehalbinsel.
