Quiet dune area south of Dunkirk, half an hour over the Belgian border. Between Gravelines and Oye Plage.
In the vicinity, there are charming small towns like Dunkirk (Dunkerque) as well as a larger city like Calais. It's not far to drive to Cap Blanc Nez and Cap Gris Nez, large cliffs by the sea from where you can see Dover in England.
The warm Gulf Stream along the coast ensures better temperatures than at the North Sea in Belgium.
