    Many of the sights in the area can be reached by bike, river, hiking, or by train. Weilburg: the pearl on the Lahn, with impressive renaissance castle and garden, with the renowned Weilburg summer chateau concerts i, Laneburg and Freienfels: castle ruins, knights' castles, medieval festivals in May, the Kubach crystal caves with rock museum, the Weilburg animal park with lynx, European bison, bears etc. Villmar: world nature heritage, stone reef from the Devonian period, marble bridge, marble museum; medieval market towns with half-timbered buildings, catholic church, former Monastery Runkel: Fortress high above the Lahn, medieval half-timbered ensemble with Burgmannenhaus (high quality cultural events) and castle church, medieval stone bridge, bathing area on the Lahn, river ships, night watchman tour, Limburg: Bishop's town with many beautiful churches, Limburg Cathedral, one of the most beautiful Roman sacral buildings in Germany, concerts inside the Cathedral boy's choir, the diocese museum, intact medieval half-timbered old town with many little shops and restaurants. Nature around offers water, woods, meadows, valleys, hills, caves, geopark. Culture :quaint medieaval cities, knight's castles, festivals, museums and many more World culture heritage, Cologne, Rhine River, Loreley, Lorsch, etc. 1,5 h drive
    Getting there
    By air: to Frankfurt/M or Cologne/Bonn, from airport mainline station take rapid train, ICE, to Limburg Süd (17 minutes from Frankfurt and 50 min. from Cologne) By train: ICE train station Limburg Süd (from the south, east and west) or from the north via Giessen and right to the Fürfurt train station. By car: motorway A3 towards Frankfurt/M - Limburg Nord exit, 25 km. Motorway A3 towards Cologne- exit at Bad Camberg, 25 km. Motorway A5 toward Frankfurt, exit at Reiskirchener Dreieck, towards Giessen Wettenberg (50 km), then on the B49 towards Limburg From the ICE train station Limburg Süd we'd be glad to arrange to pick you up.

    Es war hier eine schöne Woche mit Ruhe und Erholung, sehr nette Gastgeber und das beste Gelände für Fahrradtouren oder Wanderungen. Eine eigene überdachte großzügige Terrasse mit gepflegtem Garten und eine wirklich schöne große Wohnung. Kanufahren war hier direkt im Dörfchen möglich und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ziele. Sogar in der kleinen Gartenwirtschaft einmal den Berg runter im Dörfchen konnte man lecker und einfach essen. Allerdings läßt die umgebende Region was wirklich gut essen gehen angeht noch Wünsche offen aber man kann ja in der Küche auch selbst kochen.

    Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und engegenkomment!! Besser geht es nicht. Wohnung liegt zentral, in 30 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto überall. Landschaftlich sehr schöne Ecke, wir kommen sicherlich wieder.
