Holiday destination
Kerames is a traditional, historical village with about 150 inhabitants. All streets of the village lead to the main square of Kerames village. Here you can have a coffee in peace and quiet and admire the waterfalls or fountains. In the village there is a "Aunt Emma shop" and restaurants.
Around the village there are beautiful and clean beaches like Preveli, Triopetra or Ligres.
Hiking trails offer many possibilities to explore the wonderful area with its special flora and fauna also on foot.
The small town of Spili with various shopping facilities, pharmacy, taverns, cafes, a monastery worth seeing and a historical Venetian fountain is only 14 kilometres away. The beautiful and worth seeing harbour town Rethymnon in the north of the island is 45 kilometres away and is certainly worth a day trip.
The traditional place is a witness of a long history, which goes back to 2000 - 2600 before Christ. In this time the ancient city of Kionia was built. After the decline of the Minoan rule and its cities, to which Kionia also belonged, and after many pirate raids, the city moved higher up the hills. The ruins of the ancient city can be found on a hill above the beach of Pyrgos.
Getting there
By plane or ferry to Heraklion or Chania Souda and from there by rental car, which we will gladly organize.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen eine Woche mit unserer Familie in diesem wunderschön gelegenen und sehr gut geplanten und liebevoll ausgestatteten Ferienhaus zu verbringen. Jeden Morgen war es ein Genuss auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken mit der fantastischen Aussicht zum Meer, danach ein paar Runden im Pool, am Abend ein Gläschen Wein auf dem Liegestuhl und die Sterne betrachten, ein Traum. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der angenehmen Vermieter Familie empfangen, der Kühlschrank war gut befüllt. Ausserdem wurden wir 2 Mal mit hervorragend zubereiteten Abendessen, gekocht vom Vermieter, verwöhnt. Ein Genuss, wir waren alle begeistert. Wir können das Haus und die Vermieter nur bestens weiterempfehlen und waren sehr traurig abreisen zu müssen. Ein Kompliment an Nektaria und Mathaios.

Wir waren im September diesen Jahres mal wieder in Siriatis und es war eine super schöne Zeit. Die Gastgeber sind toll, das Haus ist super schön und wir haben die Zeit (wieder) sehr genossen. Und wir kommen wieder!!
