Labin is located on its hill and is the historical center of eastern Istria. The area is a paradise for art and history lovers with its rich cultural and architectural heritage. The steep, winding streets of the Old Town offer well-preserved historic palaces, numerous art galleries and various jazz and classical music festivals during the summer months. The city has some excellent seafood restaurants, as well as cozy cafes where you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The coastal town of Labin is Rabac, a former fishing village, today a popular tourist destination, surrounded by a variety of beautiful pebble beaches.
Near Rabac are some Medieval towns worth visiting such as Pican, Gracisce, Paz and Boljun.
The bike rides of the Labin region are a bit demanding, but those who decide to come to the east coast of Istria will be rewarded with the wonderful panoramic view of the Kvarner bay.
From Slowenian border with highway in right Pula. Take exit Zracna luka and Labin. In Labin on 2. roundabout go to Vinez and than from Vinez to Becici.
