Ansitz Wendelstein is nestled in the heart of the Ãœberetsch vineyard landscape, adorned with numerous castles and manors, this one having been built in 1611 and completely renovated by the Niedermayr family. The local area features 2 Montiggl Lakes with outdoor swimming facilities, accessible by bus, and is highly suitable for cycling tours.
The village is very well connected by bus service.

Our operation, open all year round, also serves as a base for ski day trips to various ski areas of the region during the winter months: Alpe di Siusi, Val d'Ultimo, Obereggen, Merano 2000, and the Dolomites.
The special features of the surrounding area include our many castles, manors, and estates, fruit and vineyard landscapes surrounded by the beautiful mountains.
The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, wine culture weeks, cellar tours, South Tyrolean bike paths, Ötzi the Iceman, Messner Mountain Museum, original South Tyrolean Christmas markets, and the medieval Moos Castle.

Unser Urlaub im Penthouse im Ansitz Wendelstein war einfach wundervoll. Es stimmte wirklich alles: Frau Niedermayr war eine perfekte Gastgeberin , freundlich, stets hilfsbereit und allzeit um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung liess keine Wünsche offen, war sehr sauber und stilsicher möbliert. Das absolute Highlite war jedoch die Dachterrasse mit ihrem traumhaften Ausblick auf die Dolomiten. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Frau Niedermayr ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und kümmerte sich um alle unsere Belange. Schon ab der Begrüßung fühlt man sich im Ansitz Wendelstein wie zu Hause und unter Freunden. Die Lage des Ansitzes ist ruhig, aber in wirklich nur 5 Gehminuten, wenn überhaupt ist man mitten am Marktplatz, um den herum das Leben tobt. Ein Supermarkt ist ebenfalls fußläufig zu erreichen, wie auch tolle Restaurants; darunter sogar 2 mit jeweils 1 Michelin-Stern. Unser Auto war im Innenhof des Ansitzes gut geschützt. Die Penthouse-Wohnung war mit allem Komfort ausgestattet und Klimaanlage! Die Wohnung war super sauber und wurde sogar nochmal zwischendurch komplett gereinigt. Ein toller Service.
Aber das absolute Highlight war der Ausblick von der eigenen Dachterrasse auf die Dolomiten und nach Bozen. Traumhaft schön:)
