Holiday destination
The peninsula Mönchgut is a popular retreat where one can regenerate in the tranquil biosphere reserves and return home with renewed energy. The holiday home is not far from the small Baltic resort Baabe, so you can get there within a few minutes. It's where everyday life happens; cafes, restaurants and shops invite you to stroll and linger for a while. The kilometre-long white sandy beach (100m away) is clean and shallow, which makes it a paradise for children. Awesome experiences await you, e.g. a ride with the Rügen narrow gauge railway (also called "Rasender Roland"), a historic steam locomotive, and a hike through the biosphere reserve. The bays Wieken and Bodden create beautiful contrasts between land and water and the area is characterised by wide and fine sandy beaches and cliffs as well as extensive fields and forests.

We were happy when we got the opportunity to purchase this superbly situated holiday home a few years ago. We've put lots of effort in turning it into a little holiday paradise by implementing unconventional ideas. Where else would you find a nicely furnished holiday home with ocean view, where you can enjoy a sauna session and then go to the beautiful, gently shelving beach and take a dip in the Baltic Sea?

Wir haben uns in der einen Woche+ sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt im lichten Kiefernwald direkt in Strandnähe. Dadurch das man nur über eine Privatstrasse zu den Häusern gelangt, ist es auch abends sehr ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist für ein Ferienhaus gut. Geschirr und Küchenutensilien sind umfangreich vorhanden und uns hat nichts gefehlt. Die Betten (wobei wir nur eins genutzt haben) sind bequem, aufgrund der Dachschrägen im 1.OG sollte man jedoch vorsichtig aufstehen :-) Insgesamt war das Haus sauber und gepflegt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war sehr gut und er war auch kurzfristig erreichbar. Wir haben nach einer Woche sehr kurzfristig verlängert und würden auch wiederkommen.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem Architektenhaus. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung! Das Haus steht zwischen anderen Holzhäusern in einem Kiefernwald und hat einen Blick aufs Meer. Dünen, Strand und Meer sind dann in wenigen Schritten zu erreichen. Mit dem tollen Kaminofen und der Sauna ist es (gerade) auch im Winter wirklich richtig schön. Tipp für den Januar: Nach der Sauna direkt ins Meer! Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, sehr gemütlich und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Alles war super sauber und ordentlich bei Ankunft. Herr Hanssen war immer sehr gut zu erreichen und auch ganz schnell mit allem bei unserer spontanen Buchung.
