Leisure activities on the wide North Sea beach at Brouwersdam near Ouddorp: numerous options for sports activities such as kitesurfing or riding a kite buggy. You can simply watch or take courses, for example at Kiteschool Natural High. Alternatively, you can fly kites, take long walks, or relax in one of the cozy beach cafes.
Offers for golfers: Beautifully situated golf courses can be found in the neighboring towns of Bruinisse and Melissant. They offer a diverse and flexible program.
Holiday destination
The holiday home is located in the quiet outskirts of a spacious, family-friendly bungalow park in Herkingen (South Holland), which stands out with its old trees and large lawns and play areas.
It's only a 5-minute walk from the holiday home to the swimming bay at the Grevelingen Sea. Here you can surf, sail, swim, fish, or start a cycling tour. At the restaurant by the harbor, you can watch the sailors.
The holiday resort offers variety for every taste.
Children enjoy the various play options, including on the playgrounds. There are also lawns available for football, handball, or volleyball, and the smooth paths are great for skating.
Afterwards, you can cool off in the heated outdoor pool with a children's paddling pool (use is free, open from May to mid-September).
For a fee, you can use the tennis court.
The well-developed cycle paths throughout invite you to extensive bike tours. On our island alone, there are 270 km of bicycle paths.
Popular excursion destinations include the cities of Zierikzee or the medieval-looking little town of Veere on the further southern peninsulas. Day trips to Amsterdam or Rotterdam (with harbor tour) are very popular.
In the village, there is a bicycle rental service.
Getting there
Via Venlo, Eindhoven, Tilburg, towards Zierikzee to the peninsula Gorree-Overflakee, Oude Tonge, Herkingen.
Rentals typically run from Friday to Friday, but Saturday to Saturday is also possible by arrangement.

Sehr schöner und extrem gut eingerichteter/ ausgestatteter Bungalow mit wunderschönem Garten- und Terrassenbereich lädt ein zum Seele baumeln lassen.
Die gesamte Anlage wird extrem gut gepflegt und somit ist auch die Nutzung der Freizeiteinrichtungen (Pool, Tennis, Fußball, Tischtennis, Spielplatz) ein Genuss.
Zum Strand sind es nur wenige Gehminuten und es war bei uns selbst bei schönsten Wetter nie überfüllt wodurch es immer einen familiären Charakter hat.
Sehr viel Infomaterial für Aktivitäten im näheren Umfeld von Herkingen im Bungalow vorhanden.
Gesondert hervorheben möchten wir den äußerst freundlichen Kontakt mit den Vermietern bei denen wir uns hiermit ganz herzlich bedanken möchten.
Ganz klare Empfehlung und es wird sicher nicht das letzte mal gewesen sein.

Das Ferienhaus ist sauber, gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen hat uns die perfekte Küche mit Induktionsherd, Spülmaschine und vollständigem Zubehör. Wir haben schon häufiger im Urlaub Kaffeebecher, oder scharfe Küchenmesser, Eierbecher und Bratpfanne u.ä. kaufen müssen, da nicht vorhanden oder defekt. Hier war mal wirklich alles da und hat funktioniert! Es gab umfangreiches Infomaterial mit Tips und Karten für die nähere und weitere Umgebung . Die Sonnenterasse haben wir nach unseren täglichen ausgiebigen Radtouren sehr genossen.
