Castelnau d'Aude produces delicious wines and a walk through the vineyards is definitely recommended. 3 km away is the village of La Redorte where you will find a supermarket and a delicious bakery. Just a 10-minute drive away is Canal du Midi and the recreational lake Lac de Jouarres. The medieval village of Minerve and La Cité castle in Carcassonne are also well worth a visit, as are nearby villages such as Assignan, Collioure and Lagrasse.
