Holiday destination
The city of Palavas-les-Flots (population approx. 6200) is located in the Département Hérault in the region of Occitania, about ten kilometres south of Montpellier at the Golfe du Lion on the Mediterranean Sea. It borders Lattes to the north, Pérols to the northeast, Mauguio to the east, the sea to the south and Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone to the west. This is where the river Lez flows into the Mediterranean. In east-west direction the Canal du Rhône à Sète runs through the city.
