The Sonnenhang holiday home is in a quiet location in the beautiful national park town of Heimbach-Hasenfeld. It was completely renovated in 2019 and offers room for 5-6 people and your four-legged friends on an area of 120 sqm.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms:
1. Bedroom has 1 double bed (200x200cm) and a cot on request.
2. Bedroom has 1 double bed (180x200cm) and garden view.
3. Bedroom with 1 single bed (100x200cm) and a view of the forest directly opposite.
On arrival you will find freshly covered beds and a towel set with a washing glove as well as a blanket in the bedrooms.
The bathroom on the upper floor has a skylight and a floor-level shower. A baby bathtub is available on request.
On the ground floor is the living room with a large sofa suite that can be converted into a sofa bed. There is also a television with DVD player, DVDs, books, board games and brochures in different languages about the surroundings and excursion itineraries. Free WiFi is also provided. From the living room you have, just like in the single room, a view of the forest opposite.
In the adjoining dining room with the beautiful timber framing, there is room for 6 people. A high chair is also available.
The kitchen next to the dining room is well equipped and offers you a dishwasher, oven, stove, fridge with freezer compartments and everything else you might need. There is also a small table for 4 people at the window facing the garden. You can reach it directly from the kitchen.
You can store your shoes, jackets etc. in the walk-in cloakroom.
Because one bathroom is often not enough, there is a guest toilet next to the entrance.
The 2 cellar rooms with a washing machine are ideal for storing your suitcases and foodstuffs.
In the small garage, you will find a barbecue and garden furniture. It is not suitable for parking, but you can park your car in the driveway and in front of the house.
The fenced garden belonging to the house is shared with the retired couple from the neighbouring house, who are very fond of children and animals. From the kitchen, a staircase leads to the terraced part of the garden. It's a good place to sit and have a barbecue. Behind it, the lawn starts, inviting you to play and run around.
For all guests who stay 1-3 nights, we can prolong the stay on the day of departure. So that it is also worth it to unpack your suitcases, you may stay in the house until 16:00 instead of 12:00. (Depending on availablity)

The Eifel National Park has something for everyone. Whether young or old, active or seeking peace and quiet, on land, water, on foot, by car, motorcycle or mountain bike. We have various brochures in our holiday home to give you many ideas for your holiday.
The street 'Am Sonnenhang' ends in a cul-de-sac, which makes the house a very quiet location. Nature lovers will get their money's worth in this area. If you want to explore the nearby surroundings on foot, the path through the forest to the Heimbacher reservoir with the Art Nouveau hydroelectric power station or the Rursee lake in Schwammenauel with Rursee boat trip are ideal. Heimbach with its outdoor pool, Hengebach castle and art academy is only 3 km away.
A 61 (Köln-Koblenz) from the south
to autobahn junction "Bliesheim" - towards Euskirchen (A 1) - exit "Zülpich" - B 56 past Zülpich - B 265 towards Schleiden - in Vlatten turn right to the national park town of Heimbach (L218). In Heimbach, take the L 218 through the town centre straight ahead to the roundabout, then take the 3rd right towards Hasenfeld. Continue straight through Hasenfeld until you reach the chapel, then turn left into Brementhalerstr. At the end of Brementhalerstr. turn left into the street "Am Sonnenhang". The holiday home is the second to last house on the left side.
or take the "Swisttal-Miel" exit - B 56 towards Euskirchen - Zülpich (after Euskirchen take the A1 motorway for a short distance and then exit immediately) - pass Zülpich - continue as described above.
or A 61 (Köln-Koblenz) from the north, exit "Erftstadt" - B 265 direction Zülpich - pass Zülpich - continue as described above.
or A4 (Aachen/Cologne) from the west, exit "Düren" - B56 towards Düren. In Düren drive towards Nideggen - through Kreuzau and Nideggen to Heimbach. In Heimbach at the roundabout turn right towards Hasenfeld - continue as described above.

If the tenant cancels the contract before the start of the rental period without naming a new tenant who enters into the contract under the same conditions, the following prorated rents are to be paid as compensation, taking into account the expenses saved and the loss of profit, insofar as it is not possible to rent the property elsewhere:

up to 49 days before the rental period: 10% of the rental price
up to 35 days before the rental period: 30% of the rental price
up to 21 days before the rental period: 60% of the rental price
up to 14 days before the rental period: 90% of the rental price
otherwise (later than 14 days before the rental period) 100% of the rental price
At the same time, the lessor will try to find a substitute lessee.
3. In case of an early departure, the lessee is obliged to pay the rental fee in full.
Cancellation must be submitted in writing. The day of receipt of the declaration by the landlord is authoritative.

1. dog 20.00 €, each additional dog 10.00 € per stay
Overnight stay tax for the city of Heimbach: 9% of the gross accommodation fee.
