There are 55 three-thousand-meter peaks to conquer in the Zillertal Alps alone. In total, 159 kilometers of ski slopes of all levels are available in the region for winter sports. The Zillertal is the cradle of Alpine skiing in Tyrol. In Mayrhofen, the Penkenbahn cable car leads directly to the action mountain Penken, and with the Ahornbahn, the town has the largest aerial tramway in Austria. In the High Mountain Nature Park Zillertal Alps, pleasure and well-being spots also offer breathtaking views of the magnificent mountain world.
