Our holiday home Anker is situated on the sun-drenched island of Texel, in the north near De Cocksdorp, within the tranquil edges of the holiday park De Krim. A supermarket and restaurants are just a 5-minute walk away in the holiday park De Krim, as well as in the nearby village of De Cocksdorp. Children's playgrounds, a fitness trail, climbing park, horseback riding opportunities, and the golf course are located in or directly next to the holiday park. Texel is very dog-friendly, and your dog will enjoy a lot of freedom on the island. We are happy to provide you with detailed information about this. Texel is the westernmost and largest of the Frisian island chain in the World Heritage Wadden Sea. On Texel, one can find seals and rare bird species in nature reserves, as well as opportunities for leisurely beach walks or a beach vacation. From beach restaurants to Michelin-starred cuisine, from cozy to lively shopping streets in the various towns on Texel, to the seal rehabilitation center Ecomare, the pirate museum, ornithological tours, horse-drawn carriage rides in the Slufter, to tea breaks in a gallery in the artist village Oosterend, and much more (see also the information folder in the house), there is something truly special for every age and personal taste on Texel. Joyfully playing lambs and beautifully blooming tulip fields in the spring, beach holidays on expansive sandy beaches in the summer, hikes on color-coded paths through the nature reserve of dunes and forests, followed by a cozy evening by the fireplace, in the fall and winter, each season has its own special charm here.
Getting there
From Den Helder on the mainland, take one of the TESO ferries to Texel. The ferries operate on a shuttle service hourly, and if necessary, every half hour. For departure and waiting times, fare information, and the option to purchase an e-ticket online, visit the shipping company's website at Teso.nl. The crossing takes 20 minutes and costs 25-37€ for a car with passengers. From the ferry, it's about a 20km drive to the tranquil north of the island towards De Cocksdorp.

Selbst zu dieser Jahreszeit, für uns zu dieser Jahreszeit das erste Mal, wieder einfach schön. Im Haus von Karin und Mathias kann man sich immer nur wohlfühlen, selbst bei Schietwetter.
Es hat alles wieder rundum gestimmt, nur unsere normale Kaffeemaschine musste wieder die Reise antreten zum Mädels-Hundeurlaub, weil wir nicht gerne Kapsel- oder Padkaffee trinken. Richtiger Filterkaffee muss einfach sein. Unser dritter Urlaub im Ferienhaus Anker haben wir für 2025 schon angemeldet und heute Datum fest mitgeteilt. Auch Napi hat sich wieder superwohl gefühlt dort, und ist direkt beim reinkommen auf seinen Platz unter die Treppe gelaufen, d. h. ich mußte als erstes die Reisewolke auspacken und seine Höhlenecke dort fertig machen.

Wir erlebten eine abwechslungsreiche und tolle Woche in unserer Unterkunft. Die Räumlichkeiten waren für uns perfekt. Das gesamte Haus war sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Die tolle Lage muss hervorgehoben werden. Alle haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt und waren rundum begeistert. Der Kontakt zur Eigentümerin des Hauses war nett, zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Fazit: Das Haus bietet beste Voraussetzungen für einen erholsamen und entspannten Urlaub.
