In the spring there are fields of the famous wild narcissus flowers. 15 minutes walk to the staton of the Montreux-Oberland railroad (MOB). By car only 6 minutes to Montreux, well known resort on the lake of Geneva. Jazzfestival in June. Visit of the wine growing area of Lavaux, (Unesco world heritage) Christmas market during December.

    La Tranquille ist ein wunderschönes, altes Haus in einem liebevoll gepflegten Garten. Von dort hat man zusätzlich noch einen traumhaften Blick auf den Genfer See, der bei einem schönen Sonnenuntergang nicht mehr zu toppen ist. Die Umgebung bietet viel, von einem mediterranen Tag am See bis zu einer Schneewanderung auf den Bergen. Des Besondere in diesem Haus ist aber die Gastfreundschaft der ganzen Familie Harbaugh. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Madame Harbaugh ist immer offen für ein Gespräch französisch ), ohne jemals aufdringlich zu sein. Vielen Dank Madame, für die frz.Übungsstunden. Sobald uns die Bergsehnsucht wieder packt werden wir auf jeden Fall im La Traquille wohnen. Den Punkt für die Ausstattung habe ich lediglich für die Dusche abgezogen, die aber nach uns erneuert werden sollte.

    Alle, die in idyllischer Lage inmitten eines wunderschönen naturbelassenen Gartens und doch nahe des Städtchens Montreux am Genfer See ihren Urlaub oder ein romantisches Wochenende verbringen wollen, werden in La Tranquille glücklich sein. Das traditionelle Bauernhaus mit separater Ferienwohnung ist auf Schönste hergerichtet - der zauberhafte Charme des alten Gemäuers wurde mit allem modernen Komfort erhalten. Etwas ganz Besonderes ist die familiäre Atmosphäre, die Familie Harbaugh auf's Wärmste vermittelt. Wir haben La Tranquille und seine lieben Bewohner sofort in unser Herz geshlossen. Dazu gehört auch ein in einem ursprünglich erhaltenen Brunnen lebender Feuersalamander mit seiner Nachkommenschaft. Wir werden jederzeit sehr gern wieder in La Tranquille ein paar schöne Tage genießen.
