Hiking fans will love walking through the Rouvas gorge with its unique forest and its water sources that give you an insight into the still-unspoilt south of Crete.

Holiday destination
The village of Sivas is located approx. 62 km away from Heraklion and sits at an altitude of 110 m on the western side of the Asteroussia mountain range in the western part of the Messará plain, not far from the village of Matala. Sivas is only around 3 km away from the Libyan Sea.
You can enjoy wonderful walks and cycle trips through Crete's natural surroundings and head to unspoilt villages and a variety of cultural attractions.
If you have a rental car, you can also take trips out to the archaeological sites at Festós, Agia Triada and Górtys, the famous Matala caves, and Odigítrias monastery. The magnificent, sandy Komos beach is approx. 3 km away. The bays of Agios Farangos and Vathi feature crystal-clear water and are inviting places for a dip.
Getting there
Travel by aeroplane to Heraklion or Chania.
Travel by car and ferry via Italy.
Heraklion Airport is about 1 hour away from Sivas. It's easy to get to Sivas via taxi, bus or rental car.

Wir haben uns in der Villa Kritikos sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist ausgesprochen komfortabel. Der Blick von der Terrasse über den wunderbaren Pool zum Meer ist traumhaft. Die vordere Terrasse lädt zum Grillen ein. Auch von den oberen Balkonen hat man eine tolle Sicht auf die Umgebung. Der Kontakt zu den freundlichen Inhabern war flexibel und zeitnah. Auch der Kontakt zum Service vor Ort. Ankunft und Abfahrt prima. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, zwei schöne Bäder. Sivas ist ein angenehmer ursprünglicher Ort, mit kleinen Supermärkten, guten Tavernen und Cafés fußläufig. Die wunderschönen Strände z.B. von Matala und Kommos sind in 10-15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreicht. Tolle Umgebung mit vielen Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge. Wir empfehlen die Villa Kritikos unbedingt weiter und möchten gern wiederkommen. Dankeschön.

Das Ferienhaus war bei unserer Ankunft absolut sauber und allerbestens vorbereitet. Das große Haus ist wirklich außergewöhnlich hochwertig und vollständig ausgestattet, das weitläufige Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und die ästhetische Gestaltung des gesamten Anwesens sehr ansprechend und stilvoll.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist die tolle Betreuung durch die Vermieter. Wir haben Familie Kollmannsberger als sehr freundlich, aufmerksam, großzügig und hilfsbereit erlebt.
Wer das hier liest und gerade auf der Suche nach einem Ferienhaus in Südkreta ist, kann diese Suche eigentlich beenden. Die Villa Kritikos ist eine ganz klare Empfehlung!
