Description

The charming Geißberghaus, a holiday home with a historic ambience, is located in Unterweid, a district of Kaltennordheim in the middle of the border triangle of Hesse, Bavaria and Thuringia in the Thuringian Rhön biosphere reserve. It is particularly suitable for a holiday with family or a group of friends.

Nature lovers can explore the beautiful surroundings with romantic valleys, moorland and unique flora and fauna while hiking or cycling. Excursion destinations include: Rhönwald adventure world (2 km), Fladungen open-air museum (12 km), Rhön star park in Geisa (14 km), Wasserkuppe (15 km), Trusetal dwarf park (32 km) and the Bad Hersfeld monastery ruins (38 km).

A pettel stove in the living area creates a pleasant atmosphere and the cozy seating area in the natural garden invites you to linger and rewind. Here you will find rest and relaxation after an active day of vacation.

Geräumiges Ferienhaus mit Blick auf die Kirche im ruhigen Dorf Unterweid. Das Ferienhaus wurde kürzlich (teilweise) renoviert, was dem Haus ein schönes, frisches Aussehen verleiht. Einziger Kontrast ist die Küche, die noch im Originalzustand ist und etwas altbacken wirkt. Das absolute Highlight dieses Hauses ist der großzügige Garten, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Das Vorhandensein einer Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln, Sonnenliegen und einer Bank bietet Ihnen zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, sich im Garten aufzuhalten. Schön ist auch, dass es im Haus eine Waschmaschine gibt. Regelmäßig haben wir hiermit einen Berg Wäsche gewaschen und anschließend im großen Garten zum Trocknen aufgehängt. Als einziges Manko an dem Haus empfanden wir das Fehlen von Fliegengittern an den Fenstern, da wir schon mehrfach Probleme mit Mücken oder Fliegen im Haus hatten.
Die Gegend rund um das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön. Es gibt mehrere Wanderwege, die Sie begehen können. Im Dorf gibt es auch einen schönen Spielplatz für Kinder. Wir hatten während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr schönes Wetter und verbrachten einen Tag im Freibad in Tann. Das ist sehr zu empfehlen! Auch ein Besuch in einem der zahlreichen Naturschutzgebiete wie dem „Schwarzen Moor“ oder ein Ausflug zum Aussichtsturm „Noahs Segel“ in Oberweid lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.
