Description

Discover life on a rustic Norman estate! The setting is a 15th-century country estate with tower, manor house and outbuildings, set in 150 acres of land managed by friendly young owners. The country house, which was lovingly renovated, has a spacious terrace area and a small playground. A small rowing boat tour on the castle pond will inspire you. The beautiful beaches of the Contentin are just minutes away from this rural paradise. Activities nearby: There are many exciting impressions of country life here, both young and old - sheep, horses and all sorts of farm animals can be stroked. With a bit of luck, you might even witness the birth of a calf. Fresh eggs and other farm produce can be bought locally or at the local market. Worthwhile excursion destinations are the seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret (10 km) and the lively port of Granville. You should not miss a visit to the world-famous Mont St. Michel

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Es war wirklich etwas Besonderes, an einem so historischen und wunderschönen Ort zu übernachten. Wir schätzten die Gastfreundschaft unserer sehr freundlichen Gastgeber, die charakteristische Gîte, die Tiere (insbesondere Simon, Dagobert und Odin) und natürlich die Führung durch das Schloss! In der Nähe von Saint-Lô-d’Ourville können viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten unternommen werden. Wir werden wiederkommen und dieses Ferienhaus wärmstens empfehlen!

Schöner Ort, geräumiges Haus, etwas dunkel. Viel Platz und angemessene Privatsphäre draußen. Etwas mehr Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien wären nützlich, aber wir haben wundervolle zwei Wochen verbracht. Auch das Schloss und die Anlage sind wunderschön.

Wir hatten einen tollen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus/Gite. Die authentische Atmosphäre ist jeden Tag ein Erlebnis und dennoch hat man den Komfort moderner Küchengeräte und Co. Die 2 Fernseher haben wir zwar nicht genutzt, sind aber vorhanden... Der morgendliche Ausblick durch die Terrassentür auf der Teichseite ist grandios mit Blick auf die beiden ständigen Bewohner, die ein Schwarm Schwäne sind, und das Schloss im Restaurierungsmodus. Über einen Weg können Sie das Schloss und den See komplett umrunden, was herrliche Fotomotive bietet. Die Terrasse mit Sonnenliegen und Picknicktischen (kleiner für Kleinkinder) ist sehr gemütlich, vor allem wegen des großen Sonnenschirms.... Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und lassen einen in Ruhe, sind aber bei Fragen zur Stelle. Eine Besonderheit ist, dass man, anstatt die Mülltonne zu füllen, seine Reste aufbewahren und sie dem riesigen Freilandschwein Simon geben kann, der sehr zufrieden damit ist, es schmeckt wirklich schlecht, aber okay, es ist ein Schwein und nicht der Burgherr. Alles in allem ist diese Ferienunterkunft sehr zu empfehlen und Cotentin/Normandie ist eine wunderschöne Gegend zum Entdecken voller historischer und landschaftlicher Erlebnisse und ein mehrtägiger Besuch der Landungsstrände ist natürlich ein sehr beeindruckendes Erlebnis und ein Erlebnis, das immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird mit dir. Die oberste Etage haben wir nicht genutzt, aber sie ist wirklich groß mit 2 Schlafzimmern und einem Badezimmer und einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf die Balkendecke, genau wie unten. Wir werden auf jeden Fall in ein paar Jahren wieder hierher kommen, und sei es nur, um den Fortschritt der Restaurierungen zu sehen.
