For our littlest guests, we have a playground in our 2000 m² indoor garden.
For the older ones, we have a separate playground next to the building and, additionally, during the high season, a 3000 m² playing field for volleyball or football - also perfectly suitable for flying kites.
Holiday destination
Our apartment is located in the well-known Amelander Paradijs in the town of Buren, on the eastern side of the island of Ameland, also referred to as the "Wadden Diamond Ameland." The town offers you shops, restaurants, and cafes. An indoor swimming pool, as well as a supermarket, are also available and within a few minutes' walk. Here, both young and old will enjoy a great bowling area and the opportunity to play mini-golf. Buren is surrounded by meadows and nature reserves and is just a few hundred meters from the extensive sandy beach. A bicycle rental shop (about 100 meters away) offers an excellent selection of various bikes for you.
Getting there
You can easily reach the ferry terminal in Holwerd by car from all directions. If you wish to take your car to the island, we recommend making a car reservation in advance at www.wpd.nl.
If you prefer to travel by train, your destination station will typically be Leeuwarden - from there, you can quickly and comfortably take a taxi to Holwerd for about 40 euros, or opt for a cheaper bus ride. The taxi ride takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic, while the bus journey takes around 50 minutes.
