Stavoren: Within 1-2 km from the holiday home, at the old harbor, you'll find among other things the Lady of Stavoren, the symbol of the medieval legend of the mysterious downfall of Stavoren after a wealthy past. Stavoren has a beautiful sandy beach on the IJsselmeer coast. At the marina, you can rent a sailing boat or a sloop to explore the Frisian lakes. The surroundings of Stavoren are particularly suitable for water sports enthusiasts, hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. From Stavoren, you can take beautiful trips to the 11 cities, such as Workum, Hindeloopen, or Sneek. On a nice day, you can take a boat to Enkhuizen (Zuiderzee Museum, Fairy Tale Forest), have a wonderful bike ride through the forests of Gaasterland, or lounge on one of the beautiful beaches. In less favorable weather, you could visit the Jopie Huisman Museum in Workum or the Frisian Skating Museum in Hindeloopen. The holiday home is a pet-free and smoke-free accommodation for four people, where you can enjoy a wonderful (short) vacation in Friesland (even in winter, as it is located on the Eleven Cities route). You'll immediately feel at home in the cozy atmosphere.
