Holiday destination
Our little paradise is located between mountains and lakes. From the house you can reach the Chiemsee in only 5 minutes by bike, offering various beaches. From there you can take the boat to visit the castle Herrenchiemsee or the Fraueninsel with its monastery. A SUP and boat rental as well as climbing garden are offering a lot of fun. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset with a cocktail at the beach bar. For the culinary pleasure a variety of restaurants and beer gardens are available. For vegetarians I recommend the Tropical Station. There is a trail leading around the Chiemsee which is a nice day trip by bike. To our river the Tiroler Ache it is only 5 minutes with possibilities to take a refreshing bath in the summer.
For mountain bikers this area is a paradise. There are various routes on the mountains available. But also, mountaineers and hikers can find endless ways to enjoy nature.
Art lovers should visit the Exter house. For those who want more culture I recommend making a day trip to Salzburg in Austria.
Getting there
Arrival by train: There is every hour a train from Munich to Übersee and from Übersee to Salzburg. From the train station Übersee our house is within walking distance (about 15 minutes), with taxi in about 4 minutes (taxi 0049/86426549).
Arrival by plane:
From the airport Munich you can reach us by S-Bahn (to the Hauptbahnhof) and from there by train (55 minutes).
Also Salzburg has an airport with good train connection to Übersee
Arrival by car
Taking the A8 from Munich or Salzburg, you take the exit Übersee. Follow the Feldwieser Straße about 1,5 km and turn after the "Sonderpreis Baumarkt" left into the Achenweg. This one makes at the end a right turn ending directly in the Hochgernweg. Our house is the third one on the left side (Hochgernweg 28). It is a black wooden house with a silver roof. You can park directly in front of the house.

Host informationDear guests,
because we are moving to Graz, we are putting our house which we finished just last year, trustfully in your hands. Because design and sustainability is very important to us, we have fequiped the house with design classics and vintage furniture, which we have collected over the years with much patience and love. We hope you feel as comfortable at our house as we always did. We will miss the sunsets and the view on the mountains, but we are glad that other nice people will enjoy it now. Also we are not on site anymore, you can always contact us for informations or recommendations for what to do and where to go.
