Cancellation policy
The Alter Kindergarten must be informed of cancellations by telephone or email. After receipt of your cancellation request, the Alter Kindergarten will send you a cancellation confirmation/invoice within 7 days at the latest.
In the event of a cancellation, the following refund percentages apply. The Alter Kindergarten recommends you take out cancellation insurance.
up to 10 weeks before the date of arrival: refund of 50% of the rental price;
from 8 to 10 weeks before the date of arrival: refund of 40% of the rental price;
from 6 to 8 weeks before the date of arrival: refund of 30% of the rental price;
from 4 to 6 weeks before the date of arrival: refund of 20% of the rental price;
from 2 to 4 weeks before the date of arrival: refund of 10% of the rental price;
from 2 weeks before the date of arrival until the day of arrival itself: no refund; the tenant is required to pay the full rental price.

Bad Mitterndorf sits in a charming high valley (812 m) surrounded by forested mountain ridges and rocky peaks at the southern end of the Salzkammergut region. Popular spa and holiday resort in summer and winter. Super area for cross-country and downhill skiing and home to the Grimming Therme thermal baths.
The centre of Bad Mitterndorf is just a few minutes away on foot. "Die Tauplitz" ski resort and various cross-country ski trails are located very close by. The Aldiana Grimmingtherme thermal baths and the Kulm ski flying hill can be reached in just a few minutes by car. The local area is home to numerous natural bathing lakes and the Alpenbad outdoor swimming pool with its sports pool and children's slide. The surrounding mountains invite you to go hiking. There are numerous mountain bike and hiking trails to be explored. Graz and Salzburg can be reached in 75 minutes. Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee and Hallstatt can be reached in 30 minutes.
Getting there
From the west:
via Bad Ischl - Bad Goisern - via the Pötschenpass mountain pass - Altaussee - Bad Aussee - Pichl - Kainisch - Obersdorf - Bad Mitterndorf (town centre).
Take the Bad Mitterndorf exit (towards the 'Ortsmitte' ('town centre')). Immediately take the first left and head past the Spar supermarket. Then take the first street on the right. Go straight and then take the first left. You'll reach the Alter Kindergarten at the end of the street.
From the east:
Direction Liezen or Schladming, intersection Trautenfels (Schelltankstelle) turn in the direction of Tauplitz - Krungl - Bad Mitterndorf.
Take the Bad Mitterndorf exit (towards the 'Ortsmitte' ('town centre')). Immediately take the first left and head past the Spar supermarket. Then take the first street on the right. Go straight and then take the first left. You'll reach the Alter Kindergarten at the end of the street.

Host informationIn 2022, we — that is to say, Kees and Corinne — bought this renovated kindergarten that'd been turned into a family home in Bad Mitterndorf from the Langhout family. Just like the previous owners, our aim is to create accommodation where guests want for nothing and feel good during their stay.
The Alter Kindergarten ('Old Kindergarten') features five apartments that are close to the slopes in the centre of Bad Mitterndorf. Each apartment is unique and has its own sense of atmosphere.
We listen to the wishes of our guests and try to take them into account when updating the accommodation. That's how we created a range of modern, fully-equipped rental properties that we're proud to rent out to our guests!
We're die-hard Austria fans, and this place really stole our hearts.

Wir waren alle sehr begeistert (zentrale Lage, reichlich Platz für 8 Erwachsene, gut ausgestattete Küche-es gab sogar einen Milchschäumer !!!

Schöne Wohnung, hatten eine sehr schöne Woche. Wir werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen. Die Ausstattung der Küche war super. Die Größe für unsere Familie perfekt.
