Laveno (approx. 9,000 inhabitants), which also includes the comunes of Mombello and Cerro, features a long lakeside promenade and is located on the eastern shore's only natural harbour. In summer, Laveno is dominated by tourism and the lakeside promenade invites you to take a stroll and pass the time.
From Laveno the car ferry will quickly and easily take you to the beautiful villa town of Verbania, the Piedmontese side of Lake Maggiore. Thus, you can explore the western shore of the lake.
