Cosy holiday home in dream location, only 30 meters away from the Vänern!
This holiday home dates from the 1930s and has been renovated and extended in 2010. It offers the perfect starting point for your holidays in Sweden at the largest lake of the country, the Vänern.
The holiday home has a living space of about 60 square meters and offers not only a fantastic view of the lake, but also an all-season standard with a new kitchen and a newly tiled bathroom. Also the living room with an airy ceiling height of 3,60 meters is new and includes an open fire as well as an easy-care tiled floor with underfloor heating. Right next to the living room you will find an outside area with south-western aspect. There is also a glazed terrace with spacious dining area and infrared lamps. In the kitchen daily life comforts like dishwasher and washing machine are available. There are also two bedrooms, a larger one with two beds and wardrobe as well as a smaller one with one bed. In the living room you will find two sofa beds with enough room for one up to two persons.
In addition there is a small guest room with two beds and electrical heating as well as a storeroom in the form of a shed at the property. The house is located next to an exclusive residential area and holiday home complex.
There are several places for bathing as well as a small harbor for boats in the vicinity of the house. Located at the lake Vänern at the foot of the Kinnekulle hill, you will have excellent opportunities for hiking and cycle tours. Discover the many beautiful castles and manor houses at the waterfront of the Vänern, which made this region well-known and popular.

Im Westen Schwedens liegt die historische Provinz Västergötland, die man jedoch nicht mit der heutigen Provinz Västra Götalands Län verwechseln sollte, da deren Grenzen bei weitem nicht mehr übereinstimmen. Västergötland ist geprägt durch viele Ebenen. Die bekannteste von ihnen ist die Västgöta-Ebene, die sich aus mehreren kleineren Ebenenflächen zusammensetzt. Diese Gegend ist äußerst fruchtbar und legt ziemlich zentral in der Provinz. Der nördliche Teil des Västergötlandes ist relativ arm an Seen, jedoch findet man hier den See Hornborgasjön, welcher als Balzplatz für Kraniche im ganzen Land bekannt ist. Im südlichen Teil Västergötlands hingegen sind Seen zahlreich, und Angelfreunde werden mit den Namen Mjörn, Anten, Åsunden sowie Lyngern und Fegen etwas anfangen können.
Der größte See Västergötlands ist jedoch der Vänern. Dieser ist Schwedens größter See und mit 5650 Quadratkilometern Fläche mehr als doppelt so groß wie das Saarland. Europaweit belegt der Vänern Platz 3 unter den flächenmäßig größten Seen.
Västergötland ist eine der ältesten Kulturregionen Schwedens. Es gibt vereinzelte Funde aus der Zeit der Inlandeisschmelze, und es ist bewiesen, dass die damalige Nordsee sich bis an den Hornborgasjön erstreckte. Die Landhebung jedoch ließ binnen kurzer Zeit die Ebene Varaslätten und viele andere Gebiete austrocknen.
Auch die Stadt Göteborg liegt teilweise in Västergötland. Mit ihren 550 000 Einwohnern ist sie die zweitgrösste Stadt Schwedens und bietet viele Aktivitäten an, u.a. den Freizeitpark Liseberg.
