Holiday destination
Explore Texel from our bungalow on foot, by bike or by car. It is about 1.8 km to the beach. The large forest and heathland start directly behind the bungalow park. There are good shopping facilities in De Koog (3km) or Den Burg (4.5km). You can park your car about 30m away in the parking lot. You are welcome to travel by public transport, the bus stop is right next to the park entrance.
Getting there
You reach the island of Texel via the ferry from the port of Den Helder, located on the tip of the North Holland peninsular, an hour drive north of Amsterdam.
After the ferry, continue straight ahead along the main road to junction 13 (Californieweg / Ecomare). After 700m, just before the S-bend, turn left into Bungalowpark Vredelust.
Arrival by public transport to Den Helder station, then bus to the ferry, on Texel bus in the direction of De Koog. Stay seated in De Koog and on the return journey get off at the Californieweg stop, next to the Vredelust park entrance.

We are the Kessler family from Hattingen. We are now the 4th generation to travel to Texel. We have had this beautiful bungalow in Park Vredelust since 1970. This is our 2nd home. You will certainly feel at home at our place and we look forward to hearing from you.
